DEVBLOG 22

This week we have started the preparation for GDC and the trip to San Francisco. But that does not mean that we have not made progress on the game.

As always we have made some more weapons, but also some loot items this week. But we have also made the concept art for a new character, we are happy to show you.

A new character

FREDERIK BAGER:
CONCEPT ARTIST

This week i have worked on a new character for the hero roster. The new character will be inspired by the cultist faction in the game. This hero is still in early stages of development, and the working title is “the Warlock”. The warlock will mutilate and dismember himself as he progresses, and will become increasingly powerful. The body parts that he cuts off will be replaced by an ethereal version of that body part.

This week I made an axe and a sickle for the pig men enemies. I also made a lot of different types of loot. Gems, rings, figurines and so on.

This week I finished up the models for the one-handed swords for the Crusader and the two-handed staffs for the Witch. I generally try to get a result that is as close as possible to the concept and the vision behind it. This is often a very tricky task, especially when dealing with poly count restrictions etc.

Painting the WEAPONS

This week, I have been painting more weapons! The Berserker greatswords were the first ones. Second, I got to paint the textures for some bloody weapons, for some of the pig men to use.
